Nokia 6.1 Plus is now official in the Philippines; Features Snapdragon 636, dual cameras

The Nokia 6.1 Plus launches in the Philippines. The handset features a 5.8-inch display, Snapdragon 636 processor, and dual cameras.

HMD Global has consistently released value oriented smartphones in the Philippines. Recently, the company have announced the arrival of the Nokia 6.1 Plus in the country. The handset is actually the Nokia X6 which launched in China last May.

Armed with a PHP15,990, stock Android, and a Snapdragon 636 processor, the midrange Nokia 6.1 Plus is poised to become one of the better midrange smartphones of the year.

The handset comes with a 5.8-inch full HD+ IPS display with a 2290 x 1080 resolution and a notch. Inside, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with an Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage.

It comes with 16MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, and a 16MP front shooter. There’s also a USB Type-C port and a 3,060 mAh battery with Quick Charge.

The phone runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo. As part of the Android One program, updates are most certainly assured at least for 2 years.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at PHP15,990. It is now available for pre-order from October 12 to 26, 2018, and comes with PHP1,000 worth of Philippine Airlines (PAL) travel vouchers for domestic flights.
