Smart recently introduced “Flexisurf” postpaid plans for mobile broadband users. Flexisurf offers flexible choices of plan, device and payment terms, giving users more options in getting connected. Flexisurf not only gives Filipinos more options in choosing the broadband plan that suits their needs, but also the chance to purchase tablets and netbooks at discounted and amortized prices. The devices included in Flexisurf plans are the Cherry Mobile Superion Android tablet, the Neo Vivid netbook, the dual core Acer AOD722 netbook, the Samsung Galaxy Tab P6200 and the Asus Slider tablet.
The most affordable plan is Plan P299, a SIM-only plan with free 30 hours of internet surfing of up to 5Mbps. Under this plan, a subscriber can avail of the Cherry Mobile Superion Android tablet and pay only P341 a month on top of the monthly service fee.
For heavier Internet users, there’s P499 or P599 Power Plug-It or Pocket Wi-Fi plans which both come with 50 hours of surfing at speeds of up to 5Mbps. Under these plans, one can avail of the Cherry Mobile Superion tablet (P541/month*), the Neo Vivid netbook (P641/month*), the dual core Acer AOD722 netbook (P1,037/month*), the Samsung Galaxy Tab P6200 (P1,199/month*), and the Asus Slider tablet (P1,424/month*).
All plans under Flexisurf are protected by Smart’s anti-“bill shock” feature. When a user exceeds the allotted number of hours in his or her plan, anti-bill shock is activated after 80 hours and caps billing at no more than P999 for the month.
The Flexisurf plans are arguably among the easiest when it comes to getting devices on installment basis. Stores usually offer only payment terms of up to 12 months but smart makes it lighter with its 24-month installments.
