Speck CandyShell Flip Cited by iLounge as iPhone 5 Case of the Year

Speck received a case of the year award from iLounge yet again.  Speck has been winning the award from iLounge since 2009 when its CandyShell for iPhone 3G/3GS won Case of the Year and Accessory of the Year awards.  Since then, Speck won an award every year.  In 2010, Speck’s PixelSkin HD for iPhone 4 won Case of the Year award and in 2011, Speck received the iPhone Case of the Year award for its CandyShell Flip for iPhone 4/4S and iPad Case of the Year award for its CandyShell Wrap for iPad 2.

The Speck CandyShell Flip for iPhone 5 is iLounge’s iPhone 5 Case of the Year for 2012. The case features Speck’s patented dual-layer CandyShell design with a flip-back panel.  This panel allows for easy access to the iPhone 5’s Lightning port and headphone jack located at the bottom of the phone.  This flip-back panel also lets users dock the iPhone 5 or even use Apple’s Lightning to 30-pin adapter and DJ headphones without taking off the case.  The case is also sturdy as it combines two layers of protection in a single-piece, pop-in construction.  It therefore combines a strong exterior and a soft, rubbery interior.  It also has a raised bezel that protects the surface of the phone and rubberized covers that protect the buttons.

iLounge declared that the Speck CandyShell Flip for iPhone 5 is slim, resilient, and very attractively designed.  It also recognized that the case provides excellent protection and works with every accessory around.

The iPhone 5 is expected to be launched this December in the Philippines.  Make sure you include the Speck CandyShell Flip in your list of case choices.  In the Philippines, you can get Speck’s CandyShell Flip from the following resellers: Power Mac Center, Beyond the Box, Digital Hub, Digital Walker, iStudio, Switch, iStore, iCenter, Mobile 1, iGig, The A Shop and SencoLink. is one of the most active tech sites in the Philippines.
