Cherry Mobile Apollo is a Quad-Core Phone Priced at P6,999

OPPO Reno12 Series 5G Pre-order

Cherry Mobile recently introduced a new Android smartphone, as if there are not enough Cherry Mobile handsets in the market. Cherry Mobile is trying hard to make another hit so I guess the strategy is, whatever works.  Honestly, I can no longer keep track of the models from Cherry Mobile so in a way, this strategy could work against the company.  For consumers, it’s always good that they are being offered a lot of choices.

Cherry Mobile Apollo

The new handset from Cherry Mobile is the Apollo.  It’s a low-priced phone that retails for only P6,999.  For the price, you get a decent set of specs that include a 4.5-inch 720p IPS HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.  To reach this price Cherry Mobile had to compromise on some features.  So the deal breakers for the Cherry Mobile Apollo could be the very limited 4GB of internal storage and the 1800mAh battery.

Here are the main specs of the Cherry Mobile Apollo.

There is a good chance that the Cherry Mobile Apollo is the same phone called Cubot GT99 featured in this video.

The Cherry Mobile Apollo is a decent device.  But the question is, is this the ideal phone for you?  In the Android line-up from Cherry Mobile, there is the option of getting the 5-inch Omega HD 2.0. which is only slightly more expensive.
