MyPhone Storm Packs a 4-inch Display, Priced at 2,988

MyPhone wants to be in the local Android game so hard it is actually the only name that can match Chery Mobile in terms of sheer number of handsets released in the market.  Budget-conscious shoppers are the winners, obviously.  The recent handset from MyPhone that made people turn heads is the MyPhone Iceberg Mini, a 5-inch device that packs specs and features only flagships are supposed to have.  What’s surprising about this is that MyPhone priced the Iceberg Mini at only P12,888.

Now there’s a new budget phone from MyPhone but this time, it’s a low-end Android device that’s good for a secondary phone, or one that’s meant for those who are really on a tight budget.  The new device is the MyPhone Storm, a 4-inch handset that has quite limited specs.   The Storm is priced at P2,988 and at this price range, you’d seldom see a 4-incher, and this is the distinct advantage of the Storm.  However, other specs have been compromised, and this, I guess is expected in order to get to that low price range.

The MyPhone Storm has limited RAM and limited storage.  This you’ve got to be aware of if you want to check the phone out.  Specifically, it only has 256MB of RAM and 512MB internal storage.   The phone runs Jelly Bean so expect the phone to lag a bit.   Thankfully, the MyPhone Storm runs a 1.3GHz dual core processor so that should speed things up a bit.
