Looks like HTC is starting its assault on the mid-range smartphone spectrum. If the leak from Endgadget is to be believed, then the Desire 8 is shaping up to be one capable mid-range device. The smartphone will come with a 5.5 inch display (no info on resolution), dual-sim support, a 13MP main cam (non Ultrapixel) and a 5MP front cam, and front facing stereo speakers. It could have a plastic body and will be available in white, red, yellow, orange and cyan. The phone could have on-screen keys. I’m assuming the Desire 8 will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense 6.0. That’s it for the leaked handset.

I think the HTC Desire 8 will make an appearance on the Mobile World Congress later this February. There is no info about the price, but I’m hoping they stick to their aforementioned range of $150 to $300.
