Cherry Mobile recently announced the availability of two new tablets! And they are both affordable. The Superion Probe and the Superion Endeavor retail for P3,999 and P5,499 accordingly.

The P3,999 Superion Probe comes with a 7 inch WSVGA display, a 1.2GHz quad core CPU, 4GB of storage (most likely with a microSD), 1GB of RAM, 2MP rear cam, and VGA front cam. It’s a single sim device with 3G and HSPA+, and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

On the other hand, the P5,499 Superion Endeavor is equipped with a better 7 inch HD display (1280×720). Other specs include a 1.2GHz quad core CPU, 4GB of storage (most likely with a microSD), 1GB of RAM, WiFi, 3G and HSPA+, dual sim slots, an 8MP rear cam (+AF and flash), a 2MP front cam, and USB OTG support. However, unlike the Superion Probe, this tablet is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The specs are actually not bad at all. And you know they had to cut corners somewhere to hit those price points. But I’m left wondering why they didn’t mention the availability of WiFi on the Probe, or why the Endeavor is running Android 4.2.

Both the Cherry Mobile Superion Probe and the Superion Endeavor are now available nationwide.
