Apple has just released the iOS 8 update. I’ve been seeing some friends on my FB news feed posting about it so most likely its a worldwide release. The update is compatible with the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPod touch 5th generation, iPad 2, iPad with Retina display, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina display.
There are two ways of downloading and installing iOS 8. You can update over the air by going through the settings menu (Settings> General> Software Update), or you can connect your i-device on iTunes. The size of the update is an eye-popping 1.2GB, with the i-device needing around 5.7GB of free space to install. Make sure you have a good internet connection, because it will take some time to download. Especially today, IOS 8 launch day, as millions of iOS users attempt to update. I suggest you take this time to prepare your device by backing up your data, and deleting some apps and files. Its better to be cautious and on the safe side, in case something goes wrong. Then try updating again tomorrow.
Let us know if you got it and how its working out for you.
