Chinese smartphone maker, OPPO finally launched the OPPO Mirror 5 in the Philippines. The event was held at the SM Mall of Asia, where the company also introduced their first local brand ambassador.
OPPO Mirror 5
As OPPO puts it, the Mirror 5 is an interpretation of its design philosophy, which is “wisdom and innovation, shining above the ordinary.” The shiny new smartphone features a unique diamond-like mirrored back panel made with “individual cut-glass segments consisting of different reflective properties.”
Looking at the specs, the Mirror 5 doesn’t immediately impress. It comes with a 5 inch qHD display, a 64-bit quad core Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB of RAM. To attract potential buyers though, the smartphone is banking on its impressive 8MP camera with a large f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens and a handful of camera modes.
The OPPO Mirror 5 comes in blue and white colors. It is now available in stores for PHP 9,990.
New Brand Ambassador
Along with the Mirror 5, OPPO also revealed its first local brand ambassador, popular OPM singer Sarah Geronimo. The pop star performed two of her latest songs for the crowd.
“We chose Sarah Geronimo because we think she’s an ideal fit for OPPO. She brings an unmatched combination of freshness and elegance to the table, and that’s what we want in an endorser,” said James ma, CEO of OPPO Philippines.
