Palm-sized Axis Vidius

A company called Axis has just announced Visius, the world’s smallest first person view quad copter. With measurements of 4.3cm x 4.3cm x 2.5cm, the little drone literally fits on the palm of your hand. It is equipped with a camera that can livestream and record 420p videos, or take stills. Pilots can control it with a 2.4 gHz controller, or through an Android or iOS app.

The Vidius can fly for up 5 to 7 minutes. It is powered by a 150mAh battery that can be charged in 20 minutes. It comes with pre-programmed tricks allowing the drone to do flips and rolls.

The small drone does offer a lot of creativity when it comes to videos. But in the wrong hands, these devices are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Currently priced at USD 75 (around PHP3,600), the Vidius is up for preorder in the US.
