ASUS ZenFone Zoom launched in the Philippines; Retails for P26,995

ASUS just launched the much awaited ZenFone Zoom in the Philippines. Announced last year, the impressive camera phone comes with a 13MP PixelMaster camera equipped with 3x optical zoom.

Camera Zoom

The ZenFone Zoom’s highlight feature is undoubtedly its the rear camera module. In fact, it looks just like a compact camera if viewed from behind. The round structure you see at the back houses the 13MP PixelMaster 2.0 camera and a 3x optical zoom 10-element lens made by Japan-based optic expert HOYA. It has a focal length of 28 – 84mm, allowing mobile photographers to zoom-in on their subjects without compromising details and overall image quality.

Other notable camera features include a dual-LED Real Tone flash, a macro-mode allowing shooters to go as close as 5cm (2 in.), and a Super Resolution mode of up to 52MP.

The ZenFone Zoom has that familiar shape made famous by the ZenFone 2. This time though, the camera phone flaunts a more premium aesthetic with its Aluminum unibody frame and burnished leather back panel. It has thin and slick profile, with dimensions measuring at 158.9 x 78.84 x 11.95~5mm.

Adding to its already impressive camera, the rest of the ZenFone Zoom’s specs are high end as well. It is powered by a desktop grade Intel Atom processor, 4GB of fast dual-channel DDR3 RAM, and a PowerVR 6430 graphics processor. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 with the latest ASUS ZenUI on top.
