I know this post is a little late. By now most you have probably seen the trailer. But in case you haven’t, check out the new Spider-Man: Homecoming movie trailer!
I am a sucker for superhero movies and Spider-Man is one of my favorites. I actually geeked out when I saw the movie trailer. Good thing Sony and Marvel worked things out to bring Spidey into Marvel’s cinematic universe in Captain America: Civil War. The new Spidey movie even brought in Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey, Jr.) to act as his mentor.
Check out the movie trailer and see for yourself. I liked that bit when Peter thought he was being hugged by Tony.
Here’s the movie’s synopsis from the YouTube video:
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
Spider-Man: Homecoming features Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. It is directed by Jon Watts
According to various sources, it will be out in US theaters starting July 7, 2017 (on my birthday!). Hopefully, it will be the same in the Philippines.
