The Nougat update for the ASUS ZenFone 3 is finally rolling out in the Philippines!
ZenFone 3 Nougat update is here
We knew the update was coming. ASUS made the announcement early in the year that the Nougat update for the ZenFone 3 was in the works. And it’s finally here in the Philippines (for some of us anyway)!
The OTA update, which has a size of 1.3GB, started rolling out a few days ago. According to the release notes, the build comes with several improvements including performance and speed enhancements, and tweaks like improved touch performance. Included also are some cosmetic changes in the Quick Settings and notification panel. And for the happiness of most, some redundant apps and shortcuts have been removed.
According to ASUS, you would need at least 1.5GB of space for the update. If you haven’t received the update yet, I guess you have to wait. To check if its ready for download, go to Settings, About, and tap System Update.
UPDATE: If you’re curious, I also ran benchmark apps AnTuTu and Geekbench. AnTuTu score improved ever so slightly. Anyway, here are the results.
