Smart announces RoamFree, an app that allows subscribers access to travel services and apps while abroad without the data roaming charges.

The Smart RoamFree app lets users access 21 partner apps and services during out of the country travels. You can book rides and tours, handle reservations, and more through the app.
The app is actually available to everyone, but Smart subscribers will get up to 100MB free access. Once consumed though, access will be charged to your data allowance. You can either avail a data roaming pack or connect to Wi-Fi to continue using the service.
Here’s the list of apps you can use. Take note that you don’t have to actually have these installed on your phone. The app will act as a portal for the services.
The RoamFree app can be used in 26 countries, including popular destinations such as the USA, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Germany, Finland, Portugal, and more. For the complete list of countries, please click here.
