Select ASUS Zenfone smartphones will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo this coming months.
ASUS Oreo Update
ASUS always had a good track record when it comes to updates. The company sees to it that past smartphones get performance boosts and security patches. This time, a new set of devices will be seeing Android Oreo in their future.
In a post on Facebook, the ASUS named several Zenfone smartphones will be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo.
First to get it is the ASUS Zenfone 3 Max ZC553kL, which is scheduled to receive it by the end of June 2018. It will be followed by the Zenfone 3 Max ZC520YL, the Zenfone 4 Max ZC554KL, the Zenfone 3 Laser ZC551KL, and the Zenfone Max Plus M1 ZB570TL in July 2018.

Like previous releases, ASUS will send the OTAs in batches. You can check in Settings> System Update if its available for you. If its there, don’t forget to back up your files before proceeding. Better to be safe than sorry.
At the time of writing, these are the only Zenfones in line to get the Oreo update.
