OPPO announces it’s first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner — the OPPO K1.

I guess it was just a matter of time before OPPO borrows the in-display fingerprint scanner made popular by Vivo smartphones. They are, after all, sister companies under Chinese corporation BKK Electronics.

And the first OPPO handset to carry such a feature is the newly announced OPPO K1.

The OPPO K1 comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Since it will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, the phone makes use of a Super AMOLED panel.

Inside, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor powers the device. It is paired with 4/6GB RAM, 64GB storage, and an Adreno 512 graphics chip.

In the camera department, the phone sports a 16MP + 2MP dual setup at the back, and a 25MP shooter for selfies. The device runs on ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android Oreo, and comes with a 3,500 mAh battery.
