Huawei phone saves woman’s life

A British woman’s life was saved by an unlikely savior: a Huawei smartphone. The device in particular was the Huawei Y6 — a budget handset with just 3,020mAh battery.

According to reports, Beth McDermott from Lancaster had an accident in her home. The 42-year old woman tripped and fell down the stairs, knocking her unconscious for three whole days.

When she came to, Beth was unable to move her legs. Thankfully, her Huawei Y6 was within reach. To her surprise, it still had 50% charge left even after three days, allowing her to promptly call for emergency services.

It was the most horrible experience of my life. I can’t believe I’m still alive — I wouldn’t be if it weren’t for that phone. I wasn’t expecting it to work at all but it still had 50 percent battery life. I couldn’t believe it had lasted so long.

It was a blessing in disguise.

Luckily for her, she had recently bought the Huawei Y6 a few days earlier because her iPhone 6, which needed charging at least four times a day, was constantly dying on her.
