ING contributes in the fight against COVID-19

ING Bank made several contributions for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

For starters, the digital bank, together with its global processing and support centre ING Business Shared Services, have committed to donate €100,000 to several healthcare and non-governmental organizations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

ING is also supporting the UNICEF donation drive initiative to provide aid to the local healthcare sector in the Philippines.

“We remain hopeful that things will get better soon and we will continue to support all our clients and the local communities as we power through this challenging time together,” shares Hans Sicat, country manager of ING Bank Philippines.

Aside from the sizeable donations, ING is also keeping its savings interest rate at 4% per annum until July 31, 2020. The all-digital bank assures its customers that their money will continue to grow despite the current conditions of enhanced community quarantine.

One thing the calamity has put into focus is how ill-prepared many Filipinos are when it comes to their savings and emergency funds. Hopefully, many of us recover financially, and start to become serious with managing our finances.

The ING mobile app is accessible 24/7, providing simple, easy and convenient banking for everyone. It is available for download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
