Netflix drops Over the Moon trailer

Netflix is set to debut a new anime, Over the Moon. The streaming company recently dropped the first trailer, and it looks good.

The upcoming anime is directed by Oscar award winning filmmaker and animator, Glen Keane. Keane has worked on several Disney films such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Tarzan and Tangled. He also directed Kobe Bryant’s Dear Basketball.

Over the Moon also features newcomer Cathy Ang, Grammy winner Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), newcomer Robert G. Chiu, Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians), John Cho (Searching), Ruthie Ann Miles (All Rise),  Emmy nominee Margaret Cho, three-time SAG winner Kimiko Glenn (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Artt Butler, and two-time Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh (Killing Eve).

The animation is about 13-year old Fei-fei who builds a rocket ship to meet the moon goddess.

Here’s the synopsis from Netflix: Fueled with determination and a passion for science, a bright young girl builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess.
