LG’s new battery-powered face mask is a personal air purifier

LG Electronics unveiled its latest health related gadget — the new battery-powered LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier.

This hi-tech face mask is a reusable solution to replace disposable masks, which has been running in short supply with the recent pandemic.

The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is equipped with two H13 HEPA filters that can block up to 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. Air is pulled in with the use of dual fans and a “patented Respiratory Sensor” detects how much air a user needs.

The face mask is ergonomically designed for a comfortable and secure fit. Its 820mAh battery can last up to up 8 hours on low power mode and 2 hours on high.

Moreover, the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier comes with case equipped with a UV-LED light that not only charges the mask, but also kills germs.

While LG’s press release was careful not to mention the Coronova virus, HEPA filters do help in cleaning recycled air in enclosed spaces.

At this point, LG has not yet mention any price or availability details, but we do hope it lands in the Philippines.
