Netflix brings Spatial Audio to iPhone and iPad users

Netflix is rolling out Spatial Audio on its iPhone and iPad apps. The feature is exclusive to the AirPods Pro and the AirPods Max.

Spatial Audio takes movie watching up a notch with directional audio filters that provide an immersive experience.

As Apple explains it: Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking brings theater-like sound that surrounds you from the movie or video you’re watching, so that it seems as if the sound is coming from all around you. The sound field stays mapped to the device, and the voice stays with the actor or action on screen.

  • iPad Pro 11‑inch

You will also need to update to the latest Netflix version. The update is slowly rolling out to users, so not everyone will be able to access it.
