Apple unveiled the new MacBook Air and updated the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Both devices are powered by the M2 chip.
The new MacBook Air comes with a thin design, measuring just 11.3mm thick. It features a larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display that supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, a four-speaker sound system, and up to 18 hours of battery life and MagSafe charging.
The laptop also comes with a notch for the 1080p FaceTime HD camera, two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As for the 13-inch MacBook Pro, it now sports the M2 chip, along with a new compact design, up to 24GB of unified memory, ProRes acceleration, and up to 20 hours of battery life. It has a 13.3-inch display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Apple’s new M2 chip is manufactured using the 5nm process and comes with significant improvements compared to the M1, including an 18 percent faster CPU, a 35 percent more powerful GPU, and a 40 percent faster Neural Engine.
