Critically acclaimed game OXENFREE is now available to Netflix subscribers

Netflix adds another intriguing title to its ever-growing list of games. OXENFREE joins its roster and is now available to Netflix subscribers exclusively on mobile with no ads or in-app purchases needed.

The critically acclaimed indie game was developed by Night School Studio, which was bought by the streaming platform back in September 2021. It was nominated for several awards for its impressive visuals and compelling storytelling.

“OXENFREE is a supernatural thriller about a group of friends who unwittingly open a ghostly rift. Play as Alex, a bright, rebellious teenager who brings her new stepbrother Jonas to an overnight party on an old military island. The night takes a terrifying turn when you unwittingly open a ghostly gate spawned from the island’s cryptic past. How you deal with these events, your peers, and the ominous creatures you’ve unleashed is up to you.”

Netflix is all in on mobile gaming, releasing several titles last May and announcing its partnership with Ubisoft for three titles, expanding on the Valiant Hearts, Mighty Quest, and Assassin’s Creed universes.
