Smart, TNT leads SIM registration drive with 67% of subscribers already registered

Smart has already registered over 44.7 million subscribers.

PLDT wireless subsidiary Smart Communications and its value mobile brand TNT are leading the way in SIM registration with over 44.7 million subscribers already registered out of their declared 66.3 million subscriber base as of May 4. This accounts for 67.44 percent of Smart and TNT’s subscribers and more than 80 percent of the PLDT Group’s wireless revenues.

In contrast, Globe has only registered 50 percent of their declared 86.7 million total base, with 43.4 million subscribers registered, while DITO has registered only 41.99 percent of their declared 14.9 million total base, with almost 6.3 million subscribers registered.

To continue their drive to ensure most SIMs are registered, Smart and TNT are maximizing the government’s extension of the SIM registration deadline by enhancing the registration experience of their subscribers through various online and on-site channels.

Smart continues to improve its online SIM registration portal and is planning to launch new online channels for customers to register their SIMs.

All SIM users are required to register their SIMs according to Republic Act No. 11934 or the SIM Card Registration Act. Smart Prepaid and TNT customers can register their SIMs at http://www.smart.com.ph/simreg or via the GigaLife App, while Smart Bro subscribers can proceed with SIM registration by accessing their one-time password at http://www.smart.com.ph/viewbroadbandsms.

With the extension provided, Smart and TNT are working even harder to maintain their leadership in SIM registration. The company aims to make the registration process the best, most convenient, and most rewarding experience for its customers.
