TikTok has announced its first-ever gaming competition and reality show in the Philippines, The Greatest Gamer Philippines. The program will select 10 aspiring gamers and put them in a villa for three weeks, where they will face various real-world and gaming challenges to prove their skills and passion for Esports.
The Greatest Gamer Philippines is a collaboration between TikTok and its partners Smart, Smart Omega, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Grab, and Samsung. The program follows a successful pilot in Indonesia last year and aims to tap into the growing mobile gaming market in the Philippines. According to the 2023 Global Digital Report by Meltwater, over 95 percent of internet users in the Philippines are avid gamers, reflecting the country’s strong and vibrant gaming culture.

Connecting Esports with Entertainment
TikTok and Smart are launching The Greatest Gamer Philippines, a campaign that will challenge contestants to prove their skills and passion for gaming. The campaign will feature various online and offline activities, from mini-games and tournaments to interviews and behind-the-scenes content, to give participants and viewers an immersive and engaging gaming experience.
The campaign will also showcase the gaming lifestyle and culture on TikTok, the platform that blends gaming and entertainment. With Smart’s fast and reliable network, TikTok users and esports fans can enjoy seamless gameplay and connection, as well as witness the journey of the rising talents who aspire to become professional gamers.
Joining The Greatest Gamer Philippines
Starting from May 24 to June 14, 2023, interested Pinoy gamers can submit their audition videos on TikTok.
To join The Greatest Gamer Philippines, aspiring participants must follow @thegreatestgamer and @smartcommunications on TikTok. They need to create audition videos introducing themselves and showcasing their MLBB skills using the official audition filter and the hashtag #TheGreatestGamerPH. Additionally, they should tag the official @thegreatestgamer and @smartcommunications TikTok accounts.

The winner of The Greatest Gamer Philippines will receive a cash prize worth P250,000 and a contract with Smart Omega, offering them a chance to join their MLBB roster.
