Samsung expands AI-powered “Circle to Search” to Galaxy A Series and Tab S9 FE

Samsung is expanding the AI-powered “Circle to Search” feature to select Galaxy A series smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series.

Previously limited to flagship devices, Circle to Search gained traction after its debut on the Galaxy S24 series. It allows users to search content – text, images, or videos – directly on their screens without switching apps, requiring only circling, highlighting, or tapping the desired content to trigger a Google search.

This expansion to the Galaxy A series signifies Samsung and Google’s commitment to “democratizing” mobile AI by making these features accessible to more users.

Meanwhile, the larger displays of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ further enhance the Circle to Search experience. The Galaxy S Pen, for instance, can open a new level of precision when selecting content for search.

The feature will be rolled out in August 2024 in the Philippines for the Galaxy A55, A54, A35, and A34; and in September 2024 for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+.

Availability of Circle to Search updates may vary by device model and market.
