Microsoft has unveiled a major revamp for its AI assistant, Copilot, aiming to make it more intuitive and personalized.
The update introduces a natural voice interface, allowing users to have conversational interactions with Copilot, just like talking to another person. This is accompanied by a redesigned interface featuring a central hub called Copilot Discover. This personalized space curates suggestions, tips, and information based on your past interactions.
A key highlight of the update is voice interaction. Users can choose from four distinct voice options to find the one that best suits their preferences.
Beyond voice, Copilot Vision empowers the AI assistant with the ability to “see” and understand online content. This allows Copilot to provide additional information and assist with tasks like shopping, reading, and research.
The update also brings Copilot Daily, a personalized morning audio briefing with news and weather updates. For complex questions, the Think Deeper function offers detailed, step-by-step guidance.
The enhanced Copilot is now available across platforms, including iOS and Android apps, the web (copilot.microsoft.com), and the dedicated Copilot Windows app. The voice features will initially launch in English for select regions, with a rollout to more languages and locations planned soon.
