DepEd partners with Google to equip educators with Google Workspace for Education Plus

The Department of Education (DepEd) is joining forces with Google to enhance its operations. They are rolling out one million “Google Workspace for Education Plus” accounts for educators and staff, aiming to boost efficiency, collaboration, and communication. This initiative ultimately benefits public school students across the nation.

This suite will improve the online learning experience for Filipino students. It powers digital worksheets for subjects like math and English and offers improved originality reports to detect plagiarism. Teachers can conduct classes from anywhere using Google Meet and adjust their teaching methods based on real-time analysis of the class and student performance.

Moreover, the suite offers increased Drive capacity for better file management and access to Google’s AI assistant, Gemini. Advanced security features are also included to protect against digital threats.

Innove Communications, Inc (Globe), is a key partner in this collaboration, acting as a Google Workspace reseller in the Philippines.
