vivo has unveiled its latest foldable device, the X Fold5, in China, featuring a thinner profile, more durable build, and a larger battery.
The vivo X Fold5 features an 8.03-inch foldable LTPO OLED display with a 2480×2200 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The outer cover display is a 6.53-inch OLED panel with a 2748×1172 resolution, also at 120Hz.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It packs a 6000mAh BlueVolt battery while maintaining a slim profile. Fast charging is supported at 80W wired and 40W wireless.
For photography, the X Fold5 is equipped with three 50MP ZEISS-branded rear cameras, including a periscope telephoto and an ultra-wide lens. It also has dual 20MP selfie cameras, one each for the internal and external displays.
The Titanium variant measures 9.2mm when folded and 4.3mm when unfolded. The white and green versions are slightly thicker, at 9.7mm folded and 4.55mm unfolded.
Durability gets a boost with IP5X/IPX8/IPX9 certification, and a hinge built from high-strength steel and carbon fiber.
Pre-orders for the vivo X Fold5 are now open in China. Pricing is as follows:
