Epson launches WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500: A new standard in high-speed and high-volume printing

Fast A3 mono printing, eco-friendly tech, and smart features for modern offices.

Epson has officially launched the WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 – the first A3 mono mid-range model in its WorkForce Enterprise Series. The AM-M5500 is purpose-built for modern business environments that demand reliability, efficiency, and compact solutions.

The AM-M5500 offers a powerful combination of performance and energy efficiency. Engineered to support print speeds of up to 55 pages per minute (ppm), the AM-M5500 fits squarely within the 31–60 ppm range. Its design caters to organizations with frequent monochrome printing needs.

The device features high-speed scanning, delivering up to 70 images per minute for simplex and 140 images per minute for duplex scanning. It also includes optional Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for document management and digital workflows.

The AM-M5500 showcases Epson’s signature user-centric design, with a large 10.1-inch tiltable LCD touchscreen for intuitive navigation. Its sleek, curved profile complements any modern office setup, while scalable configuration options, such as dual paper cassettes and various finishing solutions, add flexibility to match business needs.

This model places a strong emphasis on sustainability as well. Built with 30% recycled plastic and packaged in 80% recycled materials, the AM-M5500 is powered by Epson’s Heat-Free Technology, reducing energy consumption by up to 85% compared to traditional laser printers.

Other eco-friendly features include a power usage monitor and visual cues to promote duplex printing and paper conservation.
