No 15 Pro+ in realme’s upcoming 15 Series launch

The realme 15 and 15 Pro will debut, succeeding the 14 Pro and 14 Pro+, respectively.

realme’s 15 Series will officially launch on July 24, but without a Pro+ variant. In a recent post on X, Global Head of Product Marketing Francis Wong said the lineup is being streamlined: only the realme 15 and 15 Pro will debut, succeeding the 14 Pro and 14 Pro+, respectively.

Dropping the 15 Pro+ makes sense for realme. It helps reduce confusion between the Pro and Pro+ models, which often have overlapping specs.

By streamlining the lineup, realme can position each device without cannibalizing its own mid-range or flagship segments. Fewer models also mean better efficiency in production and marketing.

Ahead of the launch, realme shared early details about the upcoming devices.

The standard realme 15 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ chip, 7.66mm slim profile, and 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Display specs include a 144Hz refresh rate, 6500 nits peak brightness, and a 2500Hz touch response rate. Screen size hasn’t been confirmed.

Durability is enhanced with an IP69 water and dust resistance rating and Corning Gorilla Glass. It features a 50MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP front-facing shooter.

The realme 15 Pro 5G steps up with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a slightly thicker 7.69mm body, and the same battery and display specs. It’s expected to house three 50MP sensors for wide, ultra-wide, and front-facing, with a curved 4D screen. Available colors include Silk Pink, Velvet Green, and Flowing Silver.
