Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 15 5G in Malaysia, offering a large screen, long battery life, and solid specs at an affordable price of RM 729.
The phone features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. It’s also TÜV Rheinland–certified for low blue light, which helps reduce eye strain during extended use.
Inside, the Redmi 15 5G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It’s powered by a massive 7000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging.
For photos, it has a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor. The second lens isn’t specified, but the camera app includes features like AI Erase, AI Sky, and classic film-style filters. Although the rear module looks like it has three cameras, only two are functional, with the third only a placeholder. The front camera has an 8MP sensor.
The device runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and comes with two years of OS updates and four years of security patches.
Price and Availability
The Redmi 15 5G with 8GB+256GB is priced at RM 729 (around ₱9,800 or USD 172) and comes in Titan Gray, Ripple Green, and Midnight Black.
It will also launch in India on August 19, with a different color set: Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black.
