Samsung unveils Micro RGB display with tiny LEDs and 115-Inch TV

Samsung’s Micro RGB display brings vivid color and precision.

Samsung has unveiled its new Micro RGB display, the first of its kind to use micrometer-sized red, green, and blue LEDs for backlighting. Each LED is smaller than 100 micrometers and controlled individually, allowing for precise color and contrast across the entire screen.

The display covers 100% of the BT.2020 color standard and has been certified by Germany’s VDE for color precision. This means colors appear exactly as intended, with deeper blacks and brighter highlights.

Samsung’s Micro RGB AI engine powers the display. It analyzes each frame in real time to improve both picture and sound. It also has a feature called Color Booster Pro, which helps brighten dull scenes, making everything look more vivid.

The display includes Glare Free technology to reduce reflections. It also comes with Samsung Vision AI, which powers a smarter version of Bixby voice control using generative AI.

Other features include a slim metal design, Samsung Knox for security, and a 7-year free upgrade program for the Tizen OS.

The Micro RGB display launched in Korea and is coming to the US next, with more sizes planned for global release.
