Stephen Curry is now Google’s Performance Advisor, joining the company to help improve products across Pixel, Google Health, and Google Cloud. The NBA star is sharing his experience as an elite athlete to make tech tools more useful and easier to use.
Curry and his team will work with Google engineers to test new features, give feedback, and help design tools that support health, performance, and productivity. One example is the AI Basketball Coach, which uses Gemini and Vertex AI to analyze form and offer personalized tips.
His team will also switch to the full Pixel lineup. They use Pixel phones for communication, Pixel Watches to track workouts, and Pixel Buds for audio.
Curry will also use Google Cloud AI to study shot quality and improve his training. These insights were shared at Curry Camp, his annual event for top student athletes. There, Google also ran demos to show how AI can support athletic growth.
