Google’s Androidify lets you build custom bots with AI

Upload a selfie or prompt and generate your own character.

Google has launched Androidify, a new tool that lets users build their own Android bots using artificial intelligence. The tool is available on the web and through the Google Play app.

To use Androidify, you upload a selfie or type a short prompt. The AI then creates a custom Android bot based on that input. Users can also add accessories to personalize their bots.

The tool uses several AI models: Gemini 2.5 Flash for photo captioning, Imagen for bot generation, and Veo 3 for animation in select cases.

Each Friday in September, some users will be able to turn their bots into short 8-second videos. This feature is powered by Veo and is only available for a limited number of creations.

Androidify builds on the long history of the Android mascot, which has appeared in many playful roles over the years. It is now live for those who want to try building their own digital character.
