Apple rolls out iOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and more in major software update

Updates include iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26.

Apple has launched the new versions of its major software platforms: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26. The updates bring Liquid Glass, which adds a translucent look across apps and system features.

One of the biggest changes is the expansion of Apple Intelligence. It now includes live translation in Messages, FaceTime, and Phone, plus support for AirPods. Users can also ask ChatGPT about screenshots and search for similar images. Workout Buddy gives audio motivation during workouts using Apple Fitness+ trainer voices.

iOS 26 adds call screening, hold assist, and a new Apple Games app. It also improves AirPods recording and brings lyrics translation to Apple Music. iPadOS 26 introduces a new windowing system, a menu bar, and a Preview app for PDFs. Mac users get a redesigned Spotlight, transparent menu bar, and better continuity with iPhone features.

watchOS 26 includes sleep scores and FDA-cleared hypertension alerts. It also adds Smart Stack hints and a wrist flick gesture. tvOS 26 lets users turn their iPhones into wireless mics for Apple Music Sing. visionOS 26 brings spatial widgets, realistic Personas, and immersive photo scenes to Apple Vision Pro.

Accessibility features also got a boost, with new tools like system-wide reading modes and Braille Access. All updates are available now as free downloads.
