Xiaomi is set to launch its 17 Series in China on September 25 at 7PM Beijing time. The lineup includes three models: Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max.
All three phones are expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and ship with Xiaomi Hyper OS 3.
The phones will feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 19.6:9 aspect ratio and ultra-thin bezels. It comes with Xiaomi’s new M10 screen tech, which improves brightness efficiency. The 17 Pro Max adds a redesigned RGB pixel layout that cuts power use by 26% compared to older 2K displays.
The Pro models will include a new Magic Back Screen at the back. This secondary display can show watch faces, notifications, and even act as a camera viewfinder.
Battery upgrades are also part of the Pro models. Xiaomi’s Jinshajiang battery uses a stacked design with high-silicon content and supports 100W wired charging.
With display and battery improvements, plus a new rear screen, Xiaomi is focusing on power efficiency and usability. The launch sets the stage for its next wave of flagship devices.
Expect more details soon. Stay tuned for updates.
