Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy M17 5G in India. The phone ships with One UI 7 based on Android 15, and promises six years of OS and security updates, until September 30, 2031.
The Galaxy M17 5G is a rebadged Galaxy A17 5G. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Powering the device is the Exynos 1330 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
For photography, the rear setup includes a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is 13MP.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy M17 5G is available in Sapphire Black and Moonlight Silver. It joins Samsung’s growing lineup of mid-range 5G phones. There’s no information yet on availability in other regions. Stay tuned.
