Spotify has launched a new integration with ChatGPT, allowing users to get music and podcast recommendations directly in chat. The feature is now available in English to both Free and Premium accounts across 145 countries and works on web and mobile.
To use it, just mention Spotify in a ChatGPT prompt. It will then ask to connect to your Spotify account.
Once linked, you can request songs, artists, albums, playlists, or podcast episodes. You can also ask for suggestions based on mood, genre, or topic. Tapping a result opens the Spotify app for playback.
Free users get access to curated playlists like Discover Weekly. Premium users receive more personalized picks based on detailed prompts. According to Spotify, human editors work with the AI to improve recommendations.

The integration is opt-in. You can disconnect from Spotify at any time. Spotify also said it won’t share content with OpenAI for training.
