EA is shutting down The Sims Mobile

The shut down is scheduled on January 20, 2026.

Electronic Arts (EA) announced that it will sunset The Sims Mobile early next year. The game will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on October 21, 2025, and will officially shut down on January 20, 2026.

Until then, players can expect a final round of seasonal content, including the Eerie Autumn Festival and Cozier Home Sweet Treat Showdown. On January 6, EA will unlock all items in Build Mode and Create-A-Sim (CAS), giving users full access to customization features before the servers go offline.

EA also said that any unspent premium currency will expire after the shutdown. Purchases made before October 20 will remain usable until the game’s closure. There will be no refunds for unused currency.

Launched in March 2018, The Sims Mobile focused on managing a single Sim family and offered a more streamlined experience compared to The Sims FreePlay, which is still active.
