The MICHELIN Guide has released its first-ever Philippine edition, awarding stars to nine restaurants across Metro Manila, Cavite, and Cebu. The 2026 selection marks a major milestone for the country’s culinary scene.
Helm, led by chef Josh Boutwood in Makati, earned Two MICHELIN Stars. The restaurant offers a modern tasting menu that blends Filipino, Spanish, and British influences.
Eight other restaurants received a One MICHELIN Star for high-quality cooking:
- Asador Alfonso (Cavite) – Spanish contemporary
- Celera (Makati) – Asian contemporary
- Gallery by Chele (Taguig) – Creative, sustainable
- Hapag (Makati) – Modern Filipino
- Inatô (Makati) – Intimate Filipino dining
- Kasa Palma (Makati) – Wood-fired Filipino fusion
- Linamnam (Parañaque) – Personal Filipino fine dining
- Toyo Eatery (Makati) – Ingredient-driven Filipino cuisine
Gallery by Chele also received a Green Star for its sustainability practices.
The 2026 edition also includes 25 Bib Gourmand restaurants, recognized for serving quality food at moderate prices. These range from street food stalls to modern bistros.
