BOC launches Isumbong kay Commissioner online portal for public complaints

The portal will offer faster, transparent handling of public complaints on customs services.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has announced a new online platform called Isumbong kay Commissioner. The portal aims to make filing and tracking complaints faster and more transparent.

The system replaces the agency’s old email-based process (complaints@customs.gov.ph) with a centralized portal where users can submit concerns about customs services. Each complaint is automatically forwarded to the Office of the Commissioner, ensuring that issues are reviewed at the highest level.

One of the key features is a real-time tracker that lets users monitor the progress of their cases. This aims to cut delays, reduce manual handling, and improve accountability across the bureau.

The agency said the portal is modeled after the Office of the President’s Sumbong sa Pangulo program, which also focuses on direct citizen feedback.

The platform was developed by the BOC’s Management Information Systems and Technology Group, with emphasis on security and ease of use. Final testing and staff training are underway before full activation.

The bureau reminded the public to submit only complete and verifiable complaints to avoid delays in processing.
