MediaTek announced its latest 6nm chips, the Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100. These are are the first to come with Cortex-A78 cores. Lets start with the Dimensity 1200. This one is probably going to end up in affordable flagship smartphones. The SoC is an octa-core chip with a 1+3+4 configuration comprised of a single Cortex 78 core running at 3.0GHz, three A78 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The chip is paired with a Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It supports displays with up to full HD resolution and up to 168Hz refresh rate, up to 16GB LDDR4x RAM, up to a 200MP sensor, and UFS 3.1 storage. The SoC's connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6,GPS, Bluetooth 5.2 and an FM radio.
