Haier TVs are Digital Broadcast Ready; No Longer Needs a “Digi-Box”

According to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Philippine television is expected to shift from analog to digital broadcasting. Haier is ready for the change with its line of digital ready TVs.

Haier’s new line of TV are digital ready. It is designed with a built-in ISDB-T-compliant digital tuner, letting you directly connect to the TV set without the hassle and extra cost of a “digi-box” or an external digital tuner.

Additionaly, Haier digital TVs use in-plane switching (IPS) panels, the same ones used on smartphones, for improved image quality. It has a two-tone design and a metallic strip to further enhance the look and a premium feel without the premium price tag.

Haier currently offers two digital TV lines — the B8500 series and the K5000 Smart digital series. It is available in 32-, 40-, 50-, and 55-inch screen sizes. The K5000 has a YouTube TV feature for browsing online videos, as well as a Smart Share function that enables users to connect their smartphones to the TV and play media.

All Haier digital TVs come with a two-year warranty on parts and labor.
