Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700, Transformer Pad TF300 Launched, Priced

 

Asus just officially launched the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 and Transformer Pad TF300 tablets. These are Android tablets with docks, a concept that has been popularized by Asus itself with the launch of the original Transformer Pad.

Both the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 and Transformer Pad TF300 are 10.1-inch tablets with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Both tablets also run on NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, something that should guarantee superfast performance and impressive multitasking abilities. Both tablets come with a keyboard dock, easily transforming the tablets into laptop-like machines. The tablets are not the same, though. They differ in specs and, naturally, in price.

Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is priced at a not-so-light Php37,995 while the Transformer Pad TF300 gets a much lighter Php24,995 price tag. The more expensive Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 has a premium look, with a brushed aluminium finish. It also has a Full HD Super IPS+ 600 nits display with 1920×1200 resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 support, and a much larger 64GB internal storage. The CPU is also faster at 1.6GHz.

On the other hand, the Transformer Pad TF300 is not as fancy, settling instead with a rubber polycarbonate lid with a less-impressive plastick keyboard. Display is also the lower quality WXGA IPS display with 1280×800, and storage space is half at 32GB. It runs a slower 1.2GHz processor.
