Top PC maker Lenovo announces its latest ThinkPad lineup powered by Intel’s latest 7th generation Kaby Lake processor in the Philippines.
Kaby Lake powered ThinkPads
ThinkPads have always been known for its performance, durability and design. It is the go-to office machine because of its reliability and support system. Lenovo, together with partner Intel, is raising the bar with its 7th generation Kaby Lake powered laptops and desktops.
“Our work methods are faster than ever. Workplaces are being reconfigured to encourage greater collaboration as more and more employees become mobile. To strive in this ever-growing digitized world, we need to be both flexible and agile. The new ThinkPads were developed with that in mind,” said Michael Ngan, Lenovo Philippines Country General Manager.
At the launch, Lenovo introduced four new ThinkPad products with Intel’s new Kaby Lake processors. These are the ThinkPad E470, ThinkPad T470, ThinkPad X270, and ThinkStation P410. Also revealed at the launch were Lenovo V310 and Lenovo Miix 510.
Kaby Lake ensures to boost the performance of the ThinkPad machines. It’s efficient architecture promises faster processing, higher clock speeds, and improved graphics performance. The new processors also comes with Intel’s Hyper-Threading feature, allowing for more improvements in handling multi-tasking and performance-heavy tasks such as 3D and video rendering. Its updated graphics core can also stream videos in 4K quality.
Aside from the updates, some of the new features added to the latest lineup include a cleaner, premium TouchPad that supports Microsoft Precision TouchPad for a more consistent trackpad user experience, and new security features that include support for Windows Hello for facial recognition login and a biometric fingerprinting sensor.
All new ThinkPad models with Windows 10 will come preloaded with Microsoft’s Signature Image for a clean and fast system, right out of the box.
