Honor has started seeding the EMUI 9.1 update to its smartphones this August. The latest update will give the Honor 8X, Honor 9, Honor 10, Honor 10 Lite, and Honor Play performance-optimizing features, UI enhancements, and AI-assisted features.

The latest update will come with Extended Read-Only File System or EROFS, made to improve performance. EROFS improves read speed by up to 20% compared to the previous EXT4 system, meaning a smoother UI, faster app starts, and more efficient storage handling.
