OPPO Reno2 series with four cameras, 256GB storage announced

OPPO recently announced three new Reno smartphones – the Reno2, the Reno2 Z, and the Reno2 F. The phones will succeed the first Reno series, and feature four rear cameras, 6.5-inch AMOLED displays, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 4000mAH batteries, and 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

OPPO Reno2

The OPPO Reno2 features a 48MP main camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 13MP telephoto, and a 2MP B/W sensors.

The 13MP telephoto lens has up to 5x hybrid zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. In comparison, the first OPPO 10x Zoom Reno has up to, well, 10x zoom and up to 60x hybrid. It also sports a 16MP selfie shooter on the familiar shark’s fin type pop-up module.

The Reno2 fronts a 6.5-inch FHD AMOLED display topped with Gorilla Glass 6. The back uses Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 730G processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, an audio jack, and face unlock.

The OPPO Reno2 has a price of INR 36,990, which is around PHP 27,000 or USD 515.

OPPO Reno2 Z

The OPPO Reno2 Z sports similar specs with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 front and back glass panels, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also runs on the Snapdragon 730G chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The phone also has a 48MP IMX586 sensor. This time, it has no OIS. It also retains 8MP ultra-wide and the 2MP B/W sensor, loses the telephoto, and replaced with a 2MP portrait sensor. The 16MP front camera is housed on a standard pop-up module.

The Reno2 Z is powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Rounding up the specs are a USB Type-C port, an audio jack, face unlock, and a 4,000mAh battery.

The OPPO Reno2 Z is priced at INR 29,990, which is around PHP 22,000 or USD 418.

OPPO Reno2 F

And finally, we have the Reno2 F. This one is also has a 48MP main camera but with a non-Sony sensor. It retains the 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP mono and 2MP portrait cameras. Like the one before this, its front camera has a 16MP sensor on a regular pop-up module.

The Reno2 F has a 6.5-inch FHD AMOLED display with a Gorilla Glass 5 front and back panels. Inside, you have a Helio P70 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The phone also features a 4000mAh battery and VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

The price of the OPPO Reno2 F is still under wraps, though.
