iQOO Neo 3 could be the cheapest Snapdragon 865 phone you’ll never have

Vivo sub-brand iQOO recently announced the iQOO Neo 3, a powerful phone focused on gaming.

The handset is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, complete with a 144Hz refresh rate display.

According to reports, it will be priced at CNY 2,998, which is around PHP 21,500 or USD 425 after direct conversion. For those curious, the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro, the previous holder of the record, has a price of CNY 2,999. Admittedly, the difference is minuscule, but cheaper is cheaper.

Naturally, corners need to be cut to reach that price point, so we’re curious as how iQOO achieved this with the Neo 3.

Unfortunately, Vivo has yet to bring the iQOO line to the Philippines. So at this point, all we could do is just admire it from afar.

The iQOO Neo 3 was announced on Weibo. Those are the only details announced so far. It is set to launch on April 23, 2020.
