realme V15 5G is scheduled to launch on January 7

After a flurry of successful launches before 2020 ended, realme starts off on the run with the scheduled launch of yet another 5G capable smartphone in the realme V15. The handset will become official in China on January 7, 2021, 2PM.

The upcoming smartphone will come with 5G connectivity and part of the “Koi” series. The announcement was made by realme China President Xu Qi. While Qi did not share any information regarding specs, he did reveal posters that gave us a glimpse of what to expect.

realme V15 coming soon

For starters, we do know that its going to have a rectangular shaped camera module with three sensors at the back, the same design we saw debut with the realme 7 Pro. It will also feature a 64MP main camera. The front sensor will be tucked in a small punch hole on the upper left of the screen.

Other leaks tell of a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, providing the 5G connectivity, and support for 50-watt fast charging (reports say it will come with a 65W fast charging). An OLED display is also expected with an in-display fingerprint scanner, and probably realme UI 2.0.

We’ll find out more when the realme V15 5G is officially announced on January 7, 2021.
